Volunteers Encouraged to Stay Home - Effective Monday, March 23, 2020

As we have been trying to navigate the response to the COVID-19 virus pandemic, we are mindful of the delicate balance of caring for our clients, volunteers and our staff members.

Starting on Monday, March 23rd, we have asked that volunteers forego coming to Crisis Control Ministry. In our attempt to protect us all from the threat of the spread of this virus, we will shorten our hours of service from 9 AM to 12 Noon and with staff only present in both Crisis Control Ministry offices. Administrative staff will be helping out in the Kernersville office and in both the food pantry and pharmacy in Winston-Salem. We will post phone numbers on the front door of each office and ask clients to call in for shortened interviews for assistance. Certified clients will call the pharmacy directly. All these directions will be clearly printed on the door. We will ask individuals/families to come around to the back dock to get food orders and our pharmacy staff will bring prescriptions out to patients through the hallway exit door.
